Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Reviews and Complaints

The Galaxy S24 FE has received favorable feedback, with many praising its combination of flagship-like features with a mid-range price. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is more than just a lower-cost choice in its product range; it’s an excellent phone in its own right. It may not have the processing power or camera quality of its more expensive counterparts, but the minor compromises are well worth the savings. Not only that, but you get a full suite of Galaxy AI features, a stunning display, and an outstanding battery life, making this a mid-range phone that is well worth considering. This Samsung S24 FE review explores its standout features and drawbacks

Pros

  • Appealing, minimalistic design
  • Balanced performance
  • Solid software support & AI capabilities
  • Good display

Cons

  • No charger included
  • Average lowlight & portrait cameras

Display Quality

In our Galaxy S23 FE review, my colleague Philip Michael stated he wasn’t averse to the display, but he did notice that it wasn’t “as punchy as the Samsung S23 when it comes to colors.” Well, I’m pleased to announce that Samsung has done the panel justice this time, as I’d argue that the colors are just as vibrant and polarizing as they were on the S24 Plus. To be honest, the 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display looks lovely since it shines with brilliance, producing eye-catching hues.

  • The 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display produces brilliant, vibrant colors with excellent contrast.
  • The 120Hz refresh rate enables smooth scrolling and animations, which improves the user experience.
  • Many reviews praised the display’s outside visibility and crispness.

Comprehensive Review of Samsung S24 FE Camera Versatility

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has a triple camera configuration that includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP 3x telephoto lens. Aside from the telescopic camera resolution, the arrangement is identical to the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus. The overall camera performance is good if not the best in the segment.

In well-lit surroundings, you’ll see typical Samsung color science, such as brilliant colors, somewhat warm tones, and plenty of detailing. Although the colors appear to be true, there is some light flare and noise in the photographs taken in low-light circumstances. Furthermore, the Honor 200 Pro captures better portrait photographs than the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE.

  • The 50 MP primary sensor produces vivid and bright photos in favorable illumination.
  • The 8 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom works well for portraits and distant subjects.
  • Reviewers praise the 12 MP ultra-wide lens for shooting big landscapes and group photos.
  • 8K video recording at 30fps is a remarkable feature at this pricing point.

Battery Life

  • The 4,700mAh battery delivers dependable performance over a full day of ordinary use.
  • Supports both 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, making it easy for consumers on the go.
  • The battery life has been lauded for its steadiness even after intensive use.

Design & Durability

  • The lightweight polycarbonate back with an aluminum frame feels sturdy.
  • The IP68 designation assures resistance to water and dust, providing additional piece of mind.

Samsung S24 FE Software and Ecosystem review

The S24 FE is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2400e chipset, which is similar to the flagship Exynos 2400 found in the normal Galaxy S24 range but with a lower clock speed of 3.11GHz rather than 3.21GHz. This chipset works with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Because the capacity is not user-expandable, you should consider your storage requirements before investing in the smartphone. The two storage variants differ by Rs 6,000.

Setting aside the core specifications, let’s talk about performance. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE surpasses the Honor 200 Pro and Motorola Edge 50 Ultra smartphones powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in terms of AnTuTu and Geekbench scores. This simply means that the Samsung smartphone is more powerful than its competitors and should be able to tackle any task thrown at it without slowing down. I can attest to it because the Galaxy S24 FE handled my typical tasks including surfing, streaming, social media streaming, and multitasking without any perceptible lags or stuttering. The phone’s thermal efficiency is particularly remarkable for the segment. Even after gaming, the handset remained comfortably cool.

  • One UI 6.0, based on Android 14, provides a clean and customizable interface.
  • Integration with the Samsung ecosystem, including the Galaxy Watch and Buds, is smooth.

Overall Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is a powerful mid-range challenger with a high-quality display, a sophisticated camera system, and a long battery life. However, it’s performance limitations and small design flaws may turn off consumers seeking a more premium or high-performance experience.
